Bride’s Testimonial

As a young bride planning a wedding on a budget, I had no idea where to start when it came to picking a photographer. I visited so many websites full of technical, photography jargon that I found myself back at square one. I knew I didn’t want a director who would pose me all night long and distract my attention from family and friends. I longed for a real person who would capture the most precious moments on the best day of my life. Luckily, by word of mouth, Spencer Hopkins was recommended.

Upon first meeting with Spencer, I knew I was working with a professional. He didn’t try to bombard me with information about fancy camera lenses and package pricing. He simply asked what I was looking for in a photographer. I told him I wanted someone who was laid back enough to fade into the background and get candid shots, but who could also take charge when necessary to get the perfect picture. Boy, did he deliver!

Spencer was an absolute joy to work with, starting with beautiful engagement photos and ending at the reception. I felt extremely comfortable and at ease through out the entire process. He was extremely punctual and professional at all times, even the most precious of times like getting ready for my big moment. Spencer took great care to respect and accommodate the wishes of our priest and church during our traditional ceremony, while still getting some of the most intimate shots I will cherish for the rest of my life. After the ceremony, Spencer took charge with out being pushy. He organized both families into some predetermined shots and we made it to our reception earlier than we had planned! Spencer conducted himself very professionally around all of my family, wedding party, and guests. He was always there when I wanted him, I never had to search for him, which gave me a great sense of security that every shot I wanted would be there in the end.

And they were. The quality of the pictures was astounding. My friends and family were so impressed. Spencer has such a great eye for detail. Some of the most beautiful shots he got were ones I didn’t even know he took. Nothing was left out. I will absolutely cherish my photos for the rest of my life, and I will always remember the positive experience granted to me by Spencer. Not only is he a professional, he is a considerate individual who really shows a love and passion for the quality of his photography.
